I created Catch a Moment Studio for one simple reason. For years, I listened to women say the exact same sentences: “I’ll book a session when I lose weight”, “First I need to improve my skin”, “Maybe next year when I feel better.” And every single time, I thought: why do we postpone the moment to see how beautiful we already are?
That is why my mission is not simply taking photographs. My mission is to help you look at yourself with greater tenderness, confidence, and pride. I am not here to create “ideal” women, but to reveal real women. Because real is where true beauty lives.
For years, I have been meeting women with so many different stories. Some come to celebrate a milestone, others to close a chapter, and some simply want to do something for the very first time just for themselves. Every woman leaves my studio with something far greater than photographs, taking with her an empowering experience that stays forever.

Why I do this
I don’t believe in “ideal” women.
I believe in women who deserve to see their own beauty.

During my sessions, I never search for perfection. I search for genuine emotions, natural smiles, soft gazes, and unscripted moments that cannot be rehearsed.
Because those are the real moments, the ones that stay with you, touched and cherished for a lifetime.
The greatest reward in my work is the smile of a client looking at her portraits for the very first time:

We get to know each other, talk about your desires, how you want to feel, and refine every detail together, from styling to mood.
My goal is for you to feel completely relaxed from the very first moment and know that you are in safe, caring hands.
You don’t pose. You simply exist as yourself.
You don’t need to know what to do with your hands or how to stand in front of the lens. I guide you step by step with gentle direction, conversation, and laughter. Within minutes, the camera fades into the background.
The most breathtaking portraits happen when you stop thinking about posing and simply let yourself be.

After our session, I carefully select and refine each frame with the exact same care and devotion with which it was created. I don’t focus on volume, but on legacy.

Do I need experience posing for photos?
No, you do not need any prior experience in front of the camera. I will gently guide you through natural, relaxed posing every step of the way, ensuring you feel confident and comfortable throughout your session.
Where is Catch A Moment Studio located?
My private photography studio is located at 1 Mounthooly Way in Aberdeen. It is a calm, natural-light space designed specifically for maternity, newborn, and portrait sessions.
Do you shoot outdoors in Scotland?
Yes, I frequently shoot on location across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. We utilise Scotland’s moody landscapes and golden hour light. If the weather is poor, we can easily move the session into the studio.
How do I book a session?
